I am trained in Internal Family Systems, an accessible and effective approach, and I offer EMDR to assist with healing trauma.
A bit about me:
I am here to offer you a grounded, secure presence for the work you have come to do. I believe therapy is a chance to pause in the rush of life to explore what we think and feel in the presence of an attuned and caring person. Together we seek to hear your inner wisdom speak more and more distinctly.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy, so it may be helpful to know I am often described as quiet, gentle, accepting, curious, and focused on strength. My intention is to be a safe space for you.
Part of that safety might be knowing a bit more about me. I worked in special education for 20+ years as a music therapist and later as a diagnostician. At 48 I went back to grad school for a degree in clinical mental health and have been in love with my path ever since. I’m an introvert and an external processor, the irony of which I struggle with daily. I have an adult son, a partner, and a cat. I work with my own therapist, stay in consultation for IFS and EMDR, and exchange IFS sessions with therapist friends weekly to keep my skills sharp and my parts seen and heard.
I am working with individual clients who are 25 and older. Reach out to me at via email or call me at 470-781-4589. I see clients in office and virtually. You can choose the best modality for you, even if that’s a mix of the two. I am not on insurance panels at this time but can offer you a Superbill which you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly,
~Lalah
